Shah Alam, 8 April 2025 – Niro Ceramic Group has reached a new milestone in sustainable manufacturing with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art kiln at its Pasir Gudang facility, furthering its long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and production excellence.
This latest installation brings measurable sustainability gains. The energy-efficient kiln has enabled a 10.7% cut in overall greenhouse gas emissions across the factory. Electricity usage for the kiln has been halved, and natural gas consumption has dropped by 39%. The inclusion of heat recovery technology has also led to an 80% reduction in gas use for the horizontal dryer.
In addition to its environmental advantages, the kiln also significantly enhances operational efficiency. During its initial run, productivity improved by 10%, with future phases expected to boost that to 20%. Its wider design supports higher throughput, aligning with global industry standards for optimized ceramic production.
